Canon G2 Gallery Photography by Anders Wahlström

I need to give credits to Anders. His site was a real inspiration to me. When I first saw it, I said "that's what I want to do"! I'm far from being there yet, but I'm trying. Beside absolutely great pictures, his site is simple and I love his layout. You'll find that my site is highly inspired from his, so I just want to give him credits.

Digital Photography review

Great reviews, very detailed. Also very interesting for its very active forum. I've learnt a lot from other forum members.

Petteri's Pontifications

Well, I've read a lot of articles on sharpening. Petteri's article on the subject was the first one I understood! It has really changed my approach of sharpening. In addition to the great pictures, you'll find his highly recommended "Photo Lessons".

Books

The Art of Outdoor Photography: Techniques for the Advanced Amateur and Professional by Boyd Norton

This book is a great source of inspiration. I loved it. It's easy to read, even if you've learnt English at school like me. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve his photographic vision.

John Shaw's Nature Photography Field Guide

Very good book has well. It didn't have the same effect on me as Boyd Norton's book, but I finally understood what exposure is about thanks to this book.

National Geographic Photography Field Guide: Secrets to Making Great Pictures
by Peter Burian (Author), Bob Caputo (Author)

Very good. Allowed me to get a more solid grasp on the basics.

Tools

PIE Picture Information Extractor

I use this tool to rotate my portrait pictures and to rename the files using the EXIF information.

PHP reference manual

The first version of this website was in html. I had to create a new page each time I wanted to add a picture. I knew there had to be some better way of doing this out there. A friend of mine introduced me to PHP, and that was it! Now when adding a picture, I just need to add it into the folder, and voila! The PHP manuals provided on this link have been extremely useful.

Exifer PHP library from Jake Olefsky

As I didn't want to create one page for each picture, I was looking for a way to read the EXIF information embedded in the pictures dynamically. I had a lot of difficulty to achieve that until I ran across Jake's web site. Jake has created this PHP library that does the job extremely well. Thanks Jake!
